The new concept, sexy right ?
At the Agritechnica trade fair in Hanover, the world’s largest trade fair for agricultural machinery and equipment right now, ZETOR revealed the newest direction for the company’s line of production. 2016 will mark the 70th anniversary for the Czech manufacturer and the announcement came to let us know they want to be around for the next 7 decades as well. It is said that this new strategy reflects the needs and wishes of its customers. It’s a sexy way to identify yourself as those guys who collaborate with Pirinfarina.
Yes, you read correctly. We talk about a collaboration with Pininfarina, the Italian based car designer which will make out of ZETOR the guiding light of this industry, not only when it comes to technical capabilities of their models, but as well as one of the best looking in the whole agricultural field.
The new challenges
By marching on with this collaboration, it’s implied that we’ll see a shift toward a dynamic and modern way of doing business. In my opinion, we should not expect any rebate when speaking of the utility and practicality of their tractors, in exchange of a face lift or some only-on-paper improvements. It’s actually on the contrary, although there will be certain challenges, I’d say the two giants on their respective ranges of action should make up a great team, an embodiment of Italian refinement and Czech rigorous standards of quality.
What I mean by that is I expect, as they announced, to see a better product distribution network, an expansion of the portfolio and a strategy to make all these in the right way, by the right means.
The case of the tractor is the frame that lets the engineer’s miracle take place. It’s not only a vital part of the structure or the design but also a definition of the tractor itself. By playing with that, you get a more power oriented machine meant to meet all of the user’s needs in order to get through the grinds of any day to day operations.
