When posting updates on enemy battle casualties on social media, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense frequently incorporates song lyrics, movie quotes, and other allusions.
They have cited Shakespeare, Rambo, The Big Lebowski, Bananarama, The Game, and The Big Lebowski in recent weeks. They have also cited music by Queen, Bananarama, and The Game.
Due to their outspoken support for Ukraine, certain Western celebrities, like Sean Penn and Ben Stiller, have been permanently barred from entering Russia. Since the fighting started, both actors have been to Ukraine and showed their support. Mark Zuckerberg, Hillary Clinton, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez joined Morgan Freeman on the restricted list in May.
