After a challenging year, Trace Cyrus, Miley Cyrus’ older brother, is progressing toward better health. On August 17, the 33-year-old published a pair of images of himself side by side, with the one showing him looking more physically fit.
“The picture on the left is what I looked like at the end of last year. I was mentally destroyed & it really affected my physical health. The pic on the right is me now. Your mindset is everything. It can be your greatest asset or your worst enemy. F**k motivation. Stay dedicated!” Trace Wrote.
In recent months, Trace has posted updates about his healing journey on social media. He returned to Instagram in May after a two-month absence, sharing that he had “been really focused lately on my physical & mental health” and that he was nearly completed with a new album.

Trace announced on Instagram in July that he will spend time with his sister Noah Cyrus, 22, and “get back in my exercise regimen.” He kept going, “I fasted yesterday and today, which resulted in a 7-pound weight loss. I needed to give my body a rest after overeating for the previous few months. I feel amazing!”
In the years before he changed physically, Trace had experienced considerable internal upheaval. The pop musician proposed to Taylor Sanders, another singer, before the end of 2018. However, Trace declared that he was “recently single” shortly after the first day of the new year in 2020.
In recent years, the Cyrus family has seen several breakups, and Trace was not the only one. After dating for 10 months, Miley and Cody Simpson broke up in 2020. After over 30 years of marriage, Tish Cyrus, the mother of her and Trace, filed for divorce from Billy Ray Cyrus.
