When somebody thinks about buying a new luxury watch, they mostly think about Rolex. They produce really nice watches, but they are not the only company to do so. Most people focus on Rolex and miss many other, possibly better watches. Today, we will present you three watches you should buy over a Rolex.
Table of Contents
1. Vacheron Constantin Les Cabinotiers
Vacheron Constantin, a company with a much longer history than Rolex is considered to be manufacturing the true “watches of the kings”. Many historical figures have worn their watches, and you can become one of them soon! The Vacheron Constantin Les Cabinotiers is a watch that reminds everybody of the past.
You have to manually wind the watch in order for it to operate. Of course, nowadays the power reserve is much bigger than before, lasting for about 34 hours when fully wound. The history behind the watch doesn’t really reflect in its appearance. It has a skeletonized back, its case is constructed out of rose gold and it is attached to a black alligator skin band.
2. Breitling Aerospace Evo
Breitling is another watch brand well-known for its luxury products, but let’s say that they produce another kind of watches. They manufacture watches that are known for their excellent durability and precision, but their products are almost always inspired by the military (usually aviation). They’ve even designed some editions especially for them.
The Breitling Aerospace Evo is the civilian version of one of these watches. It features a chronograph, countdown timer, second time zone, alarm, and a calendar. Above all this, its case is built from strong titanium and its mechanism is 10 times more accurate than a standard quartz oscillator. Surely a nice watch to have.
3. Seiko Astron
Last but not least, Seiko. The Japanese manufacturer has almost two centuries of history in the watches world, being known for both the style and functionality of their watches. The Seiko Astron is a fairly new watch that has been launched in 2012, but this means that it can feature some of the newest technologies in precision timing, and it does.
The watch uses a GPS module that connects to the worldwide network in order to adjust the time with the accuracy of an atomic clock and determine your position on the globe. This enables the watch to switch between time zones automatically, sparing you this task.
