Tag Heuer’s next-generation Connected Calibre E4 is the Swiss watchmaker’s most technologically advanced offering, so the collaborative Porsche edition of the smartwatch takes cues from the Taycan.
The larger 45mm Connected Calibre E4 variant is covered in references to the marque’s pioneering first EV, beginning with the black titanium case accented with Porsche’s signature frozen blue metallic shade.
The same colors are used to highlight the Tag Heuer shield on the crown, the pushers, the stylized “Porsche” lettering at the bottom of the bezel, and the electrical circuit-inspired face—a design that will only be seen on this watch.
The strap, which is made of a carbon-like weaving of black calf skin with blue stitching, is also meant to evoke the fine upholstery found in Taycan interiors. The ability to connect with compatible models such as the Panamera, 911, Cayenne, and Taycan via Bluetooth 5.0 and the Wear OS My Porsche app may make the techy timepiece a must-have for Porsche owners.
Once connected to their vehicle, the watch can adjust climate control settings and display vehicle battery life, range estimation, and total mileage. The Porsche connectivity features are simply an addition to the digital features of the Connected Calibre E4, which also include a heart rate monitor, GPS, accelerometer, and fitness tracking.
The Tag Heuer Connected Calibre E4 x Porsche Edition is now available for $2,750.
