It’s high performance in the luxury class. That’s Porsche Design is describing their latest collaboration with Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei.
The Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS brings around a design that can only be classified as elegant. Regardless of where you look at it from, the smartphone shines and showcases well designed lines. However, it’s the curved edges or the textured finish that’s the star of the show.

It’s the camera
A Leica Triple Camera is mounted on the back of the Huawei RS smartphone. It lets the user shoot brilliant photos in 8, 20 or an outstanding 40 megapixel resolution. The Hybrid Zoom technology gives way to great macro photos, almost like with a professional camera.
The front facing camera isn’t taking prisoners either; with a 24 megapixel resolution, you ensure great selfies and crystal clear video calls.
Storage and processing power
A big camera would be pretty much useless if not for adequate processing power and storage space. The Huawei RS has 256GB of internal memory and makes use of 6GB of RAM to run various apps.
The 5-inch hi-resolution screen is complimented by two dolby-enabled speakers, providing one of the best sound experiences ever to be generated by a smartphone. To be able to feed such large amounts of processing power, a 4000mAh battery is fitted.
Ultra-fast charging lets the smartphone go from 0 to 58% battery in just 30 minutes. Wireless charging is also available, at a slower rate.
Availability
The Porsche DEsign Huawei MAte RS3 will become available as of May 2018. Starting price is estimated at around $1,915. Find out more on Porsche Design.
