Ever wished you had a Transformer of your own? How about getting the real deal? Of course, it won’t turn into a robot, but at least you’re getting the original car that has been used while filming the scenes of the iconic movie. Got your attention yet? If so, you should hurry up towards Scottsdale Arizona, as Optimus Prime and Bumblebee will be there.
Both Michael Bay’s own 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS and the custom made 1992 Peterbilt 379 will be auctioned without reserve at the Barrett-Jackson auction this month. The Chevy features a LS3 V8 petrol engine connected to a 6-speed gearbox. Satin black and yellow inserts compliment its wide fenders and extended bumper.
On the other side, an Autobot emblem rests proudly on the tip of Peterbilt’s front grille. It is the one starring in the first three Transformer movies; it carries quite some history inside we could say. The semi is fully functional; however, due to extensive customization, it is no longer road legal. Nevertheless, it would be the masterpiece of any Transformers collection.
As mentioned previously, both vehicles will be auctioned without a reserve, so there is virtually no chance they won’t find a new owner this month. No estimates have been provided regarding auction prices. However, we will update on this as soon as fresh info is available.
In the meantime, check some more shots of the two iconic machines.
