To start with, we love how the name of the collection almost gives you a sense of how the sneakers look like. On top of that, with the Chukka collection, Nike’s marketing approach seems to be a sort of “But wait – there’s more!” type of strategy, which has proven very efficient in keeping their client base guessing and excited for every new color that comes out.
All that aside, the sneakers are something else. The patterns are complex, but not overbearing, just enough to give off a modern dynamic feel and make the Chukkas really eye-catching. The Flywires zig-zag up the sneakers, contrasting and/or accentuating the main color and giving them a bit more edge. The colors are not solid, but discreet combinations that give the sneakers that woven texture and look. With nuances ranging from “Wolf Gray”, “Midnight Fog” (dark gray) to “University Red” and “Dark Obsidian”(navy blue), the iterations are meant to cater to everyone’s personality. These mid-tops are completed by a Lunarlon type sole for maximum comfort.
