Ray Collins is an Australian photographer that started taking photos of his friends surfing. He first picked up a camera in 2007 and used it to relax after long shifts working in a nearby coal mine. Didn’t take home long to shift his focus from his surfing friends to the mesmerizing forms and patterns of the waves. It’s interesting to see how he plays with light and contrast, especially because Collins is colorblind.
The accolades, awards, and sponsorships have been heaped on Collins leading to the publication of his first book, Found at Sea, he also has a wide variety of prints on his website, and you can follow his photography day-to-day on Instagram.
