Not only that motorbikes are a rarer sight than cars, superbikes are usually an incredible view on any streets. However, there is a fine border between a lot of power and pure insanity. And guess where the Lazareth LM 847 situates, with its Maserati V8 engine. Batmobile has nothing on this one.
French tech behind the scenes
The LM847 is built by Lazareth, the same team that provided the Wazuma Quad or the V8-powered Renault Twingo. Looks like they’re having quite a bit of fun picking up big blocks and squeezing them within unusual cases. And who could blame them, really?
As per producer specs, the Maserati V8 produces an astonishing 470 hp that are directed to the wheels through a direct single speed hydraulic coupling, instead of the usual multi-gear transmission.
Not quite a motorcycle
Although the title suggest quite the opposite, given its tandem rear wheels, Lazareth LM847 is more quad than it is motorcycle. Not that we’ve seen too many quads boasting a freaking V8 engine!
A super-strength skeleton has been used to keep the bike from dumping parts around, along with large stabilizers and shock absorbers to reduce the amount of vibration generated by the V8. Big, 420mm brake disks are emplaced to ensure this beast comes to a stop.
While we are not entirely sure it can actually steer, we’d love to see a video of it running around the track.
