So, car body wrap? Not quite the headline for an article you might say, since every service unit over the corner is able to provide such a process. Yeah, you’re right about that, until you get to see the fine job these guys at Print Tech Munich were able to do. Take a “standard” Lamborghini Huracan, add latex printed flames, a chrome finish, and this is what you get:
Getting it done
Sorry, this won’t be a DIY guide. While you may get you hands around a half-decent wrapping process for your own car, dealing with a supercar requires extensive experience in the field and also a handful of skilled people and specialized tools. According to Print Tech, most body panels needed to be removed in order to apply the wrap, so just like Rome, this Aventador wasn’t wrapped in a day.
More than a pretty face
Along with the expertly applied body wrap, a little power tuning was also done on the Lambo. An Akrapovic titanium exhaust system was added to the setup, with carbon fiber exhaust tips. Although Print Tech admits pushing another 20 HP on the 52.2-liter V10 engine, we’re still calling it a bluff, until this one gets its wheels on the dyno. Even so, it sounds even better than the stock and definitely looks cooler than your “average” Huracan.
Wishing for a similar treatment on your car? Be prepared to drop $10,700 out of your account right away; that’s the figure on the receipt for this one. For the money, you’ll get an unique wrap, 20 kg less weight and a cool sounding exhaust.
