Sunday night’s Fergie Surprise ‘First Class’ show unexpected “Glamorous” presence marked Jack Harlow’s entrance to the 2022 MTV VMAs.
Harlow originally made his name as a flight attendant serenading his A-list customers, including as Saucy Santana, Chlöe, Lil Nas X, and Avril Lavigne, with his Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single “First Class.” Harlow is “anchoring” the show with Video Vanguard Award winner Nicki Minaj and LL Cool J.
He arrived at the Prudential Center in New Jersey wearing a black sequined top, making the audience go wild by signing autographs and shaking hands with followers before shocking them with the arrival of Fergie, another celebrity.
The pop queen entered the stage glamorously wearing a black feather boa and sequined T-shirt outfit with “First Class” emblazoned in large red letters all over it to perform her best 2007 Hot 100 No. 1 single, which is sampled in Harlow’s “First Class.”
The Fergie Surprise ‘First Class’ show really mesmerized the crowd, it was a smart move on Jack Harlow’s part making the 2022 VMAs memorable and authentic following up the piece performed.
Harlow is demonstrating that he is the type of person to give all the previous queens their rightful place on the stage next to him after bringing Brandy out at the 2022 BET Awards back in June. Fergie and Harlow led the crowd in a chant based on her own song, “If you ain’t got no money, take yo’ broke a– home” with their arms around each other.
Following his performance, Harlow and LNX won the best collaboration prize for their work on the Hot 100 chart-topper “Industry Baby.” In addition, Harlow is nominated for song of the summer (“First Class”), video of the year (“Industry Baby”), artist of the year (“Industry Baby”), best directing (“Industry Baby”), best art direction (“Industry Baby”), and best visual effects (“Industry Baby”).
