Own The Off-Road
The Portland based team MotoCorsa decided to make all the upgrades needed on the Ducati 1199 Panigale. The result? A superbike capable of owning the mountains in the army looking paint job. To think of a Ducati Panigale, the street bike by definition as a ranger of the woods, should have been considered a madness until very recently.
But these guys have done it, they completed the ultimate customization challenge. The finished product looks very good, I like it a lot. It doesn’t have too much of anything. There is still plenty of the street bike identity left inside, the moto still looks like you can turn heads riding it in the big city, but there’s also a lot of things that changed.
Make no mistake, there was a lot of effort put into it, but in the end I’d say it all matters. Because this is more than just a customized model: it’s a way of letting everyone know these things can happen. You can turn a beast longing for concrete and flat terrain to a monster waiting to unleash the best off-road experience you can get from a two-wheeler.
Reliable And Resilient
Some of the upgrades were put in the technical side of the job, like the knobby tires, prepared to answer the challenge put by off-road terrain, a skid plate to protect the engine from getting all stained, dirty and broken down. You have the modified disc brakes, some increased ground clearance all available to improve the original superbike and make the Ducati 1199 Panigale TerraCorsa one of the most reliable motorcycles to ride in dirt.
The bike has balance and innovation. I guess you could say it is a remarkable piece of real craftsmanship. It is made for those who like to ride free, to ride like there is no tomorrow.
