It’s getting chilly outside, isn’t it? Those who enjoy taking a hike over the crest of hills or going even higher at the base of the mountain should pay attention. Two of the biggest American names in footwear teamed together to create a durable yet stylish hiking boot. Danner meets New Balance and the result is this: Danner Light Boots, with NB’s grey colorway and quality materials.
Danner Light Boots feature Horween and Condura on the upper, while the rest is dressed in rugged suede. Small leather details were added to the heel. Reflective treatment is applied on the collar and on the laces. Furthermore, prolonged comfort is provided by means of a Vibram outsole. On the outside, Danner Light Boots are equipped with GORE-TEX technology, waterproofing and insulating the boots. New Balance’s signature lacing eyelets is present here, along with other slight inputs.
The boot feels roomier all while not compromising on stability and support. If you are interested in buying, Huckberry ($430) recommends going down half a size to ensure the best fit. The collaboration generated limited availability, so you’d have to rush in order to put your hands on a pair.
