While it certainly didn’t attract as much attention as the New York Motor Show, there was another public display of automotive awesomeness in Bangkok. This is where Chevrolet defied any hill, swamp and forest road with Colorado Xtreme, a raided up version of the standard Colorado ZR2 sold in the US.
Monstrous Body
The hardened look of the Colorado gives away its capabilities right from the first glance. It is obvious that with a wider bodykit, stretched track and increased ground clearance, the Xtreme version of the Colorado is ready to tackle any obstacle in its path. Other visual improvements include revised front fascia and a dark-orange colorway.
Colorado Black&Orange
On the inside, the same black and orange cocktail continues to be applied on the central console, upholstery and plastic accessories. An 8 inch color touchscreen display with Apple Link capabilities is accompanied by an inclinometer and other off-road targeted auxiliary gauges. An extra passenger handle has been added in order to provide aid for your terrified friends while you are cruising at the very edge of a cliff whistling a rock song.
On the downside (a big one, really), you won’t get to buy this version, no matter how nicely you ask. Chevrolet only offered Colorado Xtreme as a preview of future technologies included in the global version of the Colorado. Although you won’t get your hands on this particular one, future editions of the Colorado will encapsulate various features of this beast.
