Are Chance the Rapper and Kanye West on bad terms? Chance the Rapper claims that although being the victim of one of Kanye West’s tantrums, he still loves the artist. After admitting that outburst made him re-evaluate their friendship, Chance gives Kanye another “chance”.
Chance was questioned about viral leaked footage that showed a heated encounter between him and Ye in Wyoming during a recent interview on The Morning Hustle. The video purportedly came from a documentary directed by Dame Dash on Donda.
“Sit your ass down and listen to the album or leave.” This is the aggressive remark Kanye leashed on Chance. Dash was interviewed in the clip, and he provided further context.
The event occurred at a Donda recording session, according to the co-founder of Roc-A-Fella, at the time Kanye was gaining notoriety for his unpredictable and alarming actions.
“So, you know, Kanye is finishing his album and there’s people around. Chance, honestly, because of what he was reading, he came through just to check Kanye. You know, again, Kanye deals with his issues at all times. They got into it, but they worked it out. At the end of the day, Chance was there just to be a friend.” – Dame further explains.
Chance told The Morning Hustle that the video didn’t offer “the complete narrative,” despite the fact that he didn’t say what had caused Ye to lash out.
It seems that Chance did not really put the situation to heart and decided that it was just a heated moment Ye went through. He agreed that Kanye was going through a lot of troubles in his life which made him more prone to slashing out at people. Even though it is not acceptable it was understandable for this particular situation.
To sum it up it seems that Chance the Rapper and Kanye West have no bad blood and it might all just be a misunderstanding.
