Apple Watch became a literally overnight success, with lots of people emptying Apple Stores all over the world, for this product. However, as in the case of every new iPhone, it didn’t take long for the first broken Apple watches to appear. We are clumsy sometimes and jump into a water pool under the influence, without realizing that there’s a gadget attached to one of our wrists. And electronic components don’t do well facing water.

Catalyst offers a full waterproof case for Apple Watch; the first of its kind on the market. Not only that the Catalyst Case is waterproof, but it also protects the watch against corrosive agents found in the water, such as salt. The case wraps around the watch, taking its shape and acting as a layer barrier between the watch and the environment. It is strapped to a NATO nylon wrist strap with quick-release mechanism. According to Catalyst, cases received IP-68 waterproof rating on tests and MIL-SPEC 810G rating on drops. In other words, it is able to resist drops from above one meter and keep the watch intact at depths lower than 1 meter.
The face of the case is exposed so one can use the touchscreen. Also, all functions of the Apple Watch are working when inside the case, including heartbeat monitor and charging dock. Catalyst Case can be ordered in three colorways: Stealth Black, Rescue Ranger and Green Pop. Pre-orders are available on the website, and the first batch of cases is expected to be delivered starting November.
