When it comes to multimedia experience within your home, there are two kinds of people. There are those who listen through some speakers, and those whom want to feel like they’re inside a cinema. While for the first category any BestBuy deal will do the trick, audio and videophiles will definitely aim for something better. However, crystal clear sound doesn’t come cheap, neither does Ultra HD imagistics.
While mostly known for audio hardware, Bang & Olufsen have released a 4K smart TV that does more than just provide video and sound. Using a motorized stand, it is actually detecting your position in the room, and moves to you. The glass covering the screen is treated with anti-reflective coating. To improve picture quality even more, Beovision 14 automatically adjust picture mode and color intensity according to the light in the room. To complement the outer design, aluminium has been used for the case. Beovision 4 is available in both 40″ or 55″ sizes.
The three-way speakers concealed behind 6-mm thick sheets of bamboo can be detached from the tv and placed in different locations. On the smart-side, B&O Beovision 14 is powered by Android, offering internet connectivity and access to various online content. Spotify and TuneIN radio are pre installed with the system and ready to work. Google Cast technology allows the user to stream any kind of multimedia files directly from a compatible device.
Surprisingly, Beovision 14 does not support either HDR or 3D technology. Price starts at $7200 for the 40″ and $9700 for the 55″ model.
