Of all the neat gadgets I had to write about since I’ve been recruited in the hispotion.com team, Beam is, by far my favorite! Why? Because I always wanted to have such a thing.
Beam is a small, but powerful, projector lamp which can be controlled with your smartphone or tablet. Despite its dimensions, this gadget is equipped with a smart computer. Practically, it can turn any flat surface into a big screen!

Watch TV on the ceiling, play games, project recipes on the kitchen counter, stream content from your network drive, listen to music, show a presentation, and more! It can even wake you up in the morning showing you the latest news or your agenda.
The possibilities are endless! Beam will answer any request! Tell it what to do when something happens, like project a video-message for your fiancee when she comes home (this sounds like The Jetsons). There’s an infinite list of if’s and then’s you can combine, here are only a few:
- if it’s a specific time then show social updates
- if someone comes home play personal video message
- if you turn on the speakers start Youtube/Netflix
Beam is running Android, therefore you can use any app available in the Google Play Store. And, of course, you’ll be able to control it with a dedicated app or with the buttons on it or with bluetooth devices.
Beam is equipped with: a LED Picolo projector which lasts up to 20,000 projection hours, lamp function, two speakers of 2 watt each, Android computer, 8 GB storage, WiFi, bluetooth, and more!
