Bandit9′s Nero MkII bike is the creation of Daryl Villanueva, who owns a workshop based in Beijing, China. That’s far out and a no-go to many people, because Made in China is nothing to write home about. Especially when it comes to cars and motorcycles. But, let’s not judge hastily.
Daryl was born in Philippines, raised in Hong Kong and was schooled in Australia and Malaysia, I mean come on, this is a cosmopolite guy, as good as it gets. And his bikes are China made, but that’s just a minor detail. The motorcycles are of high quality and the design of the Nero MkII is based on a Chinese military bike, the Chang Jiang 750.
[adsense300gray]The Nero MkII is the successor of the original Nero, a bike model released in 2012, upgraded and improved, with the latest bells and whistles. The Nero MkII is a weird melange of a chopper, street fighter,cafe racer or whatever you want to call it. To me, it plays in a league of its own, in terms of design. The only thing that was restored from the initial Chiang Jiang bike is the 750cc engine, the rest was build up from scraps.
