Italian design rocks the world of supercars. There is little outside the country of pasta and pizza that comes close to the aesthetics of a Ferrari or Lamborghini. And it gets even better. When a renowned Italian coachbuilder makes up its mind to boost an Italian car, the result is simply mind blowing. Introducing Mole Costruzione Artigianale 001.

A different Alfa Romeo 4C
Alfa Romeo has recently revealed plans for a new 600hp GTV and a 700hp 8C model. Unfortunately, nothing is known about the future of the 4C. This is why Italian coachbuilder Umberto Palermo Design alongside Adler Group have come up with what’s possibly the best tease to a mid-life upgrade of the Alfa Romeo 4C.
This one-off is the best and worst of its kind. While the looks are genuinely amazing, it’s equally sad knowing the car will never be mass-produced. After all, no one has time to mass-produce handbuilt bodies; not even Alfa Romeo.
Grey body and beige leather
Checking out the inside of the car reveals that Umberto Palermo did just as much work here as it did for the outside. The interior of the Mole Costruzione Artigianale 001 hints to Giulia and Stelvio models via specific cues. Furthermore, the combination of beige and grey leather adds style points over the already amassed pile.
Power figures
The car is very likely to use Alfa Romeo’s 1.75-liter turbocharged inline-four engine. Thus, this means a 236bhp power output and 4.5 second time to 60mph. However, there is no official data on performance figures. We’d love to be surprised with pumped-up numbers. Maybe a Giulia Quadrifoglio V6? We’ll see.
