If there’s something we absolutely love about cars, is the mix of power and design. Seeing the 911, Carrera and the latest 918 hybrid, looks like Porsche is a premium brand for the right reasons. However, what happens when you take an automotive design team and ask them to build a laptop?
You get the Porsche Design Book One. It’s almost the kind of laptop you’d want to take on a date. The laptop combines a minimalistic look with a perfectly finished aluminum. All design elements are inspired from Porsche cars.
Furthermore, Porsche Design Book One doesn’t lack power. The screen boasts a 3200×1800 resolution, protected by Gorilla Glass 4. Further on, beneath the case rests a 7th gen Intel Core i7 and 32GB of RAM. The laptop uses a 512 SSD to store data. This laptop doesn’t lack battery life either, boasting a lifetime comparable to Apple Macbook. However, it does provide a wide variety of data ports, unlike Apple.
As we would expected, Porsche Design though being just a laptop is boring. Fortunately, they did something about it. The Book One folds 360 degrees and the screen is detachable. If you are about to use it in console mode, you might want to check the ultra-sleek stylus.
Unfortunately, it has one more detail inspired from Porsche. The price tag will set you back $2,950.
