Spend a night in sleeping in a shark aquarium. That sounds like something out of a Bond movie. But don’t worry it is not fiction, you actually do have a chance to do this. On April 11th, 12th and 13th, the Aquarium de Paris is hosting a sleepover in the Shark Aquarium. You could be ten meters deep under water with 35 beautiful sharks swimming around you. Stay in bed while a 360-degree transparent wall separates you and these amazing creature. This is a once in a lifetime thing to do.
Fred Buyle, a world record-breaking free-diver, underwater photographer, and shark enthusiast will be the host of this event. Who could explain sharks better than a man like this? So Fred and a marine biologist from the Aquarium de Paris will explain everything you need and want to know about sharks – how they live, why they are important to the ocean’s ecosystem and anything else that you like to know.
Once you get comfortable in your underwater bedroom Fred will dive into the tank and introduce you to 35 new shark friends. There are just a few things you need to keep in mind before you go into the shark aquarium. Sharks are sensitive to light, so no selfies after dark are allowed. Also, I recommend not watching any scary sharks movies before you come here or it will be a sleepless night.
The contest last until April 3rd and to enter you must go to Airbnb website, sign in and write something about yourself and why you would like to spend a night in a shark aquarium. Also, you must be over 18 years of age. So give it a try while the contest is still on.
