There are so many myths and fantasies about Eastern European women, that it’s difficult to just look away when a gorgeous model like Florenta Popa crosses your way. She’s all natural, walked the runway in several lingerie shows such as the International Salon de Lingerie Paris and Victoria’s Secret show in Asia, and was blessed with breathtaking green eyes. Although the photos say she’s b-b-bad to the bones, her look makes us think of the sexy girl next door. And that’s how I felt while interviewing her. She laughs a lot, even when she’s giving some serious answers. She’s playful and adorable, but I’ll leave that for you to discover.
We’ve come up with some questions for the beautiful Romanian, curious to know some fun facts about herself and her lifestyle choices.
[adsense300gray]When and why did you get started working in fashion?
Florenta Popa: It happened in 2002 when my cousin and my dad pushed me to go to few castings… I was very young and I had no clue about high fashion modelling. In that summer I won the Elite Model Look Romania competition and then I’ve started wanting more…
What is fun and rewarding about modelling?
Florenta Popa: In my opinion, the greatest thing about modelling is travelling to different parts of the world. I know, it sounds like a cliché but it’s true. Of course that money bring us satisfaction, shooting for the best magazines or brands as well, making my family proud every time they see my face on a magazine cover… all these things bring me satisfaction, it’s normal. But in the end, the real value goes to all beautiful memories I’ve got while I was travelling and working with amazing people from different countries/continents. It feels great to live between strangers having no fear and not feeling alone. Feels great to party this friday in Beijing for example and next day in Milan in a totally different place.
Who are your top 3 picks when it comes to designers? – Especially those that create men collections
Florenta: I love to see a handsome man wearing elegant suit and tie. It will be my plasure to tie his tie (hahaha). So… Giorgio Armani, Massimo Dutti, Prada.

Florenta: No, not at all. It’s part of my job to feel comfortable wearing any kind of outfit. Personally, I love feminine outfits, I am woman!

I’m not into rock music. I prefer other genres..
What is your go-to type of present for guys?
Florenta: A good wine.

A combination of sounds/words/songs… that he likes to hear…maybe his wife saying ..??.something … or just “good morning baby, I love you”, his dog, his kid… something like that…
