When Queen Elizabeth passed away on Thursday, September 8, a lot of things changed for the royal family right away. Many of their titles changed, most notably after King Charles III became king.
After leaving the Cambridges behind, Prince William and Kate Middleton assumed the titles of Prince and Princess of Wales.
Archie and Lilibet, the children of Prince Harry and Meghan, have been promoted while they continue to hold the titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Since their grandfather assumed the throne, the children, who are three and one, are now officially a Prince and a Princess. According to other sources, King George V set these regulations in 1917 and made it legal that a sovereign’s son’s children may use the title of his or her royal highness “should they want.”
Although the youngsters are a little too little to express their wishes, many people have been curious as to why the royal website has not updated its title despite the Wales family having their names changed.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis of William and Kate were also recognized as being “of Wales,” exactly like their parents. On the website, Archie and Lilibet are still referred to as “Master” and “Miss.”
They will have their identities updated “as and when we get information,” the King’s spokesman said in a statement on Saturday.
The king himself revealed in a speech that Kate and William would be the Prince and Princess of Wales, providing the information that permitted them to have new titles for themselves and their family. He professed his affection for Harry and Meghan in the same address, although he made no mention of their titles.
The representative went on to say, “While the website was updated for the Wales, clearly updating love on a website doesn’t quite work so we’ve not quite done that but clearly, he does love them. We will be working through updating the website as and when we get information.”
He just added, without stating whether Archie and Lilibet were entitled to their titles regardless of the words the King employs while addressing the people, “At the moment, we’re focused on the next 10 days and as and when we get information, we will update that website.”
