When Prince Charles finally got to meet Lilibet Diana, it was “emotional.”
They had a special encounter with Prince Charles and Camilla when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle brought their family to England to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.
According to a source, Prince Charles’ reunion with his grandson Archie Harrison was “wonderful.” The insider said, “It was quite emotional, a very, very great moment,” when Charles first met his 1-year-old granddaughter.
Naturally, Charles was very happy to see his son Harry and his wife Meghan again.
A second royal source stated “It was fantastic to see them. It was wonderful to have them back in Britain. The Prince and the Duchess were absolutely thrilled to see them.”
It was a significant journey for Lili since it was her first trip to England and she saw many of her relatives for the first time, including Queen Elizabeth after whom she gets her name.
She also had a little celebration on her first birthday at the family’s lodge, Frogmore Cottage.
Spending time with Harry and Meghan’s family has been enjoyable for them as well. The Duke of Sussex remarked on his April meeting with his grandmother in a recent interview with other sources.
“Being with her, it was great. It was just so nice to see her. She’s on great form. She’s always got a great sense of humor with me. It was really nice to catch up with her.”
