The release happens yearly, as a statement of Macallan’s tradition in fine whiskey casks. The current release is limited to 465 bottles. The whiskey rest for 40 years in sherry oak casks coming all the way from Jerez, Spain.
The official color is gold copper and the aroma gives out ginger and spices. Macallan describes the whiskey as rich and intense.
