Everything is bigger in Texas! This statement stays true especially when it comes to pickup trucks. After all, there’s no other place on Earth more attracted to lift kits, double wheels, bullbars and big gas guzzling engines.

The Mammoth
Hennessey Performance, the worldwide famous American tuner opened orders for a new Mammoth 6×6. Based on the Dodge RAM 1500 TRX, the Mammoth brings along an extra rear axle, and a power boost from 702hp to a whooping 1200HP.
It’s pointless to debate whether one needs hypercar amounts of power in a pickup truck. After all, you’d be the odd one out on the drag strip. However, in order to reach this outstanding figure, Hennessey is switching the regular engine to the 7-liter Dodge Hellephant crate unit.
However, not even that’s enough. With the regular Hellephant pushing out 1000 hp, Hennessey had to to dome extra tweaks to bring in 200 more horses to the stud.
A sturdy base
The Hennessey Mammoth 6×6 isn’t all about the engine power. You need a way to keep those wheels on the ground when the engine starts revving. Thus, the standard 1500 TRX suspension is switched to an upgraded off-road version, new bumpers are added into the mix and LED lights are slapped to bring light to the beast.
3 units, $500k a pop
The Hennessey Mammoth 6X6 isn’t going to be a long production run. In fact, only 3 units will be made, for $500,000 each. And chances are that by the time you will be reading this, all three found their owners and will be sitting in some barn, waiting for their value to increase over time.
Hopefully, we will get to see one of them roaring through the dust on Youtube.
